2009-2010 was a banner year for St. Paul’s, with championship athletic teams, outstanding artistic performances, and many accolades in the classroom. Add to this the success of the Campaign for St. Paul’s — an incredible display of faith and belief in the School — and 2009-2010 is a year to give thanks for and celebrate.
The impact of such spirit and support has a new symbol on the St.Paul’s campus. On the opening day of school, September 8, 2010, more than 1,000 members of the St. Paul’s community gathered to celebrate the opening of our beautiful Fisher Hall and Scheffenacker Library. The building, which utilizes the best teaching technology and supports our green effort, will serve as a reminder of the generosity of our alumni, parents, and friends for years to come.
Although Fisher Hall is the most visible example of private support, there are many other, less visible aspects. From the field trips our students are able to take to the teachers they learn from, the impact of your gifts is everywhere. We hope you will take a moment to review this report, which recognizes you, your classmates, your fellow parents, and other loyal St. Paul’s supporters.
I hope we can welcome you on campus this year — whether for a theater performance, an athletic contest, an alumni event, or just an informal visit. You are sure to see and sense the pride and spirit of St. Paul’s, and, I hope, better understand how you contribute to that magic.
Sincerely,
Thomas J. Reid, Headmaster
